Welcome
to Derry
We stepped back into the sewers of Derry to help bring Stephen King’s iconic nightmare to life. From illustrated collectibles to packaging systems and photographic compositions, we built a design world that bridges decades of terror - uniting past, present, and the horrors yet to come.
We took a trip back down Derry’s drains!
Not your average day at the studio, to help resurrect Stephen King’s most infamous nightmare. Our mission? To build a design world that didn’t just reference the horror of It, but lived and breathed it. (Preferably not in the dark.)
This wasn’t about jump scares or gore, it was about atmosphere. That creeping unease hiding behind small-town smiles. The nostalgic charm that feels just a little… off.So, we did what we do best: got seriously curious. We dug through mid-century design cues, civic signage, and the kind of ephemera you’d find tucked away in Derry’s forgotten filing cabinets.
Three Eras. One System.
We built a flexible design framework that bridges Derry’s past and present and leaves plenty of space for future nightmares. From illustrated collectables to packaging systems and photographic compositions, we built a visual toolkit designed to haunt across timelines, connecting the Derry of yesterday with the dread of tomorrow. Every element was crafted to feel discovered, not designed, the kind of artefacts you’d pull from a dusty archive drawer and immediately regret opening. Each piece whispers a quiet reminder… the horror never really left.
A design system that unites past, present, and the horrors yet to come. Seriously detailed. Playfully disturbing. And just nostalgic enough to make you wonder if you’ve been to Derry before, and if you really want to go back.
Thanks
A big thanks to the team at Warner Bros.
