Blending high-stakes action with offbeat humour, Sakamoto Days isn't your typical anime—and its packaging couldn’t be either. Tasked by Netflix to create a bold, modular packaging system, we set out to design a visual language that channels the show's dynamic energy and highlights the show's main character, Taro Sakamoto.





Netflix’s Sakamoto Days follows the story of Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who gives up the underworld to live a quiet life running a convenience store—until his past comes calling. The anime premiered on January 11, 2025, with a second series set to release in July. Praised for its stylish action and comedic edge, the series has quickly gained momentum as one of Netflix’s standout anime releases of the year.




For the Sakamoto Day’s grand opening at Netflix’s Los Angeles store, we created a one-off specialty box inspired by Taro Sakamoto’s convenience store from the anime. Fully printed inside and out, the box served as a tactile nod to the series’ setting, inviting fans to fill it with curated goodies—transforming a retail moment into a collectible experience.
